This is done in many ways; the Receptionist greets clients, visitors, members and responds to inquiries and or directs them to the proper personnel, among many other administrative duties; Band Manager, has the overall responsibility for all staff, in all departments of Shawanaga. They also have the responsibility to advise Chief and Council of the overall financial health of all departments and to highlight any concerns that need their attention. Social Services Administrator, finds financial assistance for our people in need; Finance Clerk, manages many of the budgets, payrolls, T4’s, cash revenue, financial statements, etc. for various departments in the First Nation; Project Coordinator/ Consultation Point Person, ensures that the Crown and proponents are properly and fully consulting Shawanaga about the projects they propose within and or affecting our territory and the inhabitants; Economic Development Officer, plans, organizes, coordinates and evaluates Shawanaga’s community and economic development, as well as employment and training programs; Executive Assistant to Chief and Council is responsible for many of their work needs and Shawanaga’s membership, registering births, mortalities and name changes; Maintenance Worker, keeps the office running smooth and clean along with many other buildings, by maintaining a clean and friendly atmosphere for everyone to work in.
